5. THIRD-PARTY TECHNOLOGIES

NRG Cards may permit service providers to use cookies or similar technologies in connection with the Site.

These providers may include companies that assist with:

  • website hosting;
  • ecommerce operations;
  • payment processing;
  • fraud prevention;
  • analytics;
  • advertising;
  • marketing;
  • email communications;

Third-party providers may process information according to their own privacy policies, terms, and legal obligations.

6. PAYMENT AND CHECKOUT TECHNOLOGIES

Payment processors and ecommerce providers may use cookies or similar technologies when you interact with checkout, payment, fraud-prevention, authentication, or transaction functionality.

These technologies may be necessary to securely process payments, prevent unauthorized transactions, recognize devices, or protect against fraud.

NRG Cards does not control all cookies placed directly by third-party payment providers.

7. COOKIE DURATION

The length of time a cookie remains on your device depends upon its purpose and configuration.

Session cookies typically expire when you close your browser.

Persistent cookies may remain until:

  • their programmed expiration date;
  • you delete them;
  • your browser removes them; or
  • the provider that placed them changes or removes them.

Retention periods may vary by provider and technology.

8. YOUR COOKIE CHOICES

You may have several ways to control cookies and similar technologies.

Browser Controls

Most web browsers allow you to control or delete cookies through browser settings.

Depending upon your browser, you may be able to:

  • block all cookies;
  • block third-party cookies;
  • delete existing cookies;
  • receive alerts before cookies are stored; or
  • configure different settings for different websites.

Blocking or deleting cookies may affect Site functionality.

For example, certain account, shopping-cart, checkout, security, or preference features may not function properly if necessary cookies are disabled.

NRG Cards Cookie Controls

Where available or required by applicable law, NRG Cards may provide a cookie preference tool or consent mechanism that allows you to control certain categories of non-essential cookies.

Your choices may apply only to the browser and device from which the preference was submitted.

If you clear cookies, change browsers, or use another device, you may need to submit your preferences again.

9. TARGETED ADVERTISING AND PRIVACY RIGHTS

Certain privacy laws provide eligible consumers with rights concerning targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information.

Depending upon the technologies used on the Site and the law applicable to you, certain advertising or tracking activities may be characterized as:

  • targeted advertising;
  • cross-context behavioral advertising;
  • sharing of personal information; or
  • sale of personal information.

NRG Cards does not sell personal information for money as part of its ordinary business operations.

However, some privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” more broadly.

Where NRG Cards engages in activity that is legally considered a sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activity and applicable law gives you an opt-out right, NRG Cards will provide an appropriate mechanism for eligible consumers to exercise that right.

10. GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL

Certain browsers, browser extensions, or privacy tools support Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signals.

Where NRG Cards is legally required to recognize a qualifying GPC or similar opt-out preference signal, we will process supported signals in accordance with applicable law.

The effectiveness of a GPC signal may depend upon the browser, device, technology, and applicable legal requirements.

11. DO NOT TRACK

Some browsers offer a traditional “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting.

There is not currently a universally accepted industry standard governing how websites must respond to traditional DNT signals.

Accordingly, the Site may not respond to traditional DNT signals unless applicable law requires otherwise.

This does not affect our obligation to recognize legally required browser-based opt-out preference signals.

12. SOCIAL MEDIA AND EMBEDDED CONTENT

The Site may contain links, buttons, embedded content, or functionality provided by third-party social-media platforms or other websites.

Those providers may use cookies or similar technologies when you interact with their content or services.

Your interaction with those third parties is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

13. CHILDREN

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.

NRG Cards does not knowingly use cookies or similar technologies to collect personal information from children under 13 for behavioral advertising purposes in violation of applicable law.

Additional information concerning children's privacy is available in our Privacy Policy.

14. CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE NOTICE

NRG Cards may update this Cookie Notice periodically to reflect changes in:

  • the technologies used by the Site;
  • our service providers;
  • our business practices;
  • applicable laws; or
  • the Services.

When we update this Cookie Notice, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this Cookie Notice periodically.

15. RELATIONSHIP TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

This Cookie Notice supplements the NRG Cards Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy contains additional information regarding:

  • personal information we collect;
  • how we use personal information;
  • how information may be disclosed;
  • data retention;
  • security;
  • privacy rights; and
  • how to submit a privacy request.

If there is a conflict between this Cookie Notice and our Privacy Policy concerning the processing of personal information, the Privacy Policy will govern unless applicable law requires otherwise.
